I want to second Liam - thank you! It was a fantastic, charged meeting and reveals a dynamic community who truly care about what's best for the riding and the nation. As a writer and blogger I was thrilled to see how much of an impact blogger coverage is making - especially for this riding. Eventually, ordinary non-blogging citizens will come to know the power of blogs and join us in taking part in participatory citizen media. It's obvious that the Big Media are not speaking for us - the people - but a solipsistic dialogue that keeps repeating the same old talking points about each party. It's boring and it doesn't address the real concerns of the people who are doing the voting in this country - us.

Thanks for putting together the All Candidates Meeting - it was a great chance for all of us in the neighbourhood to participate in the political process. Your efforts have added to the political debate, not only in our neighbourhood but across the country and through the internet. The flurry of blog posts and great video footage of the night are making Parkdale - High Park the riding to watch in this election!
