Snow’s Great, Except on Sidewalks

With wonderful snow now in our village, a reminder to those who have a sidewalk in front of their homes or properties: be sure to clear it of snow and ice within 12 hours after a storm.  The City does clear away snow, but not all of it and likely not the patch of concrete in at the end of your driveway.  Read more about your obligations here.

As for the snow you don’t have to worry about shovelling – the snow on the street – here’s a cool online map where you can track all the action (if you’ve used Uber, you’ll feel at home.)  It shows you when roads have been salted and plowed and displays the real-time location of salters, plows and sidewalk plows.  Check it out here.
