New garbage bins to be displayed in Village

As you know the City is delivering new blue recycling bins throughout our area. It will soon be doing the same with gray garbage bins. In June you will have to tell the City what size you want and you will have to pay an annual garbage pick up fee based on the size.

To help you figure out the size you need, the Bloor West Village Residents Association (BWVRA) has asked the City to display the various options in the Village. This will be done this coming Saturday, outside the Runnymede Library (Bloor & Glendonwynne next to the LCBO).

City staff will be set up from 12pm to 4pm on May 31st to show you the bins, explain the pricing scheme and to answer your questions about the changes to the garbage and recycling pick up system. As you know the size of the new containers poses problems for some. City staff will be on hand to answer your questions about what options are open to these people.
